I first came to Man4Man Ministries in September 2010, I had
no place to live, no clothes on my back or no money. I did
remember through a co-worker in prison that Jeff Dowers,
who helped develop the U.S.D.O.L. Apprenticeship (now used
in all Indiana DOC) was working at a place in Anderson called
Man4Man Ministries. The first day I walked into Man4Man was
the day I realized I could no longer just think about myself,
but had to have the mindset of giving and having trust for
others.
I came to find out about Man4Man from some good friends in
prison. This one particular man is a well respected figure in
criminal confinement and has the respect, knowledge, and
contribution of administrative staff and people in society. Mr.
Jones had received brochures from Jeff after he was released
and hired on as a staffer at Man4Man and passed the
information on to me and several others.
Praise Jesus and thank the Lord there are a few people who
truly care about the molding of my manhood.
Life is becoming a little better, now that the Lord has been
incorporated in my everyday life decisions. Also the love and
compassion of the brotherhood shared here at Man4Man
Ministries is teaching me a lot of core values especially how
to be a future leader. What I appreciate most is the respect
that each individual shares for each other here. I was born
and raised in one of the toughest cities in Alabama. Being
raised in the city of Troy was very frustrating for me when
there is no one to raise a child and guidance is very limited.
